An Order in Council (OIC) request is made by out of jurisdiction parties that seek limited authority to manage assets of an incapable adult that are held within British Columbia. An example of the scope of this limited authority would be to redirect a government pension to a financial account in the adult’s local jurisdiction, or to sell the adult’s real property located in British Columbia. Please see Section 31(1) of the Patients Property Act.
